Elena Skoreyko Wagner is originally from Nova Scotia, Canada and now lives in York, UK, where she works as an illustrator and paper collage artist. She holds a BFA in visual art and a Master of Science degree in occupational therapy; both inform her creative practice, and she is a passionate advocate for neurodiversity and disability.
Raised by the children of immigrants who took DIY to the next level, she loves the scrappy magic of sewing, painting, building, gardening, tinkering and of course snipping things into existence!
Elena’s career has evolved through several countries and alongside her growing family, giving her knack for capturing honest, intimate family moments with paper. She has also illustrated for animation, including pieces featured on The Marginalian and the New York Times online.
She is currently working on her first picture book.
