Carolyn Dee Flores is the award-winning author/illustrator of over 17 books for children including The Amazing Watercolor Fish, Sing Froggy Sing, Living Beyond Borders, and ThankU: Poems of Gratitude. Carolyn is RA of SCBWI Southwest Texas, on the Steering Committee of Kindling Words, and co-chair of the TxLA Authors and Illustrators RoundTable. Carolyn was the Inaugural Illustrator Mentor for #WeNeedDiverseBooks.
Carolyn is working on the story of her two 12th great grandmothers - granddaughter of King Ferdinand II and granddaughter of Moctezuma II which was awarded SCBWI's WOOP (Work of Outstanding Promise) Award in 2021. She lives with her family in Texas.
