Fatema Mernissi (1940-2015) was a groundbreaking Moroccan feminist writer, sociologist and scholar whose books are published around the world. Her titles include Dreams of Trespass, The Veil and the Male Elite, Scherezade Goes West, The Forgotten Queens of Islam, Islam and Democracy and many more.
