Ian Rosenberg is the author of The Fight for Free Speech (NYU, 2021). He is a director and Emmy-nominated producer. Ian was nominated for an Emmy for producing the documentary Finishing Heaven, directed by Mark Mann, which premiered at the 2008 Los Angeles Film Festival and had its broadcast premiere on HBO in 2009. Ian is the Producer of the documentary The World's Best Prom which was released by Matson Films in April 2006. Ian directed the documentary short film Grand Street (edited by Caroline Laskow), about the changing face of his Lower East Side neighborhood, which premiered at Makor/92nd Street Y in 2006. Ian is the Associate Producer of the yoga documentary Ashtanga, NY directed by Caroline Laskow and Mary Wigmore. Ian is also a co-founder and member of OVO, a not-for-profit New York City arts collective. Ian was a theater major at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and graduated magna cum laude from Cornell Law School.
