Kelly is a visual development artist, character designer, and author-illustrator based in Los Angeles.
She was born and raised in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and moved to New York in middle school. She loves storytelling through world-building, especially exploring relationships between identities and places. She graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in illustration and now makes art for children and animation.
When she’s not drawing, she enjoys going to cafes, hiking, finding new pieces for her wardrobe, and FaceTiming her dogs.
Her work includes WONDERFUL GOODBYES (LBYR 2024) and the forthcoming IN THIS LIBRARY (Roaring Brook Press 2026, written by April Jones Prince) and THE GREAT PUMPKIN PARTY (Holt 2026, written by Celeste Pewter).
