After a career in undergraduate counseling, Laura Sibson earned an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts. The Art of Breaking Things, her debut novel, was called “Triumphant” by Kirkus and named on YALSA’s Best Fiction for Young Adults 2020. Her second young adult novel with Viking, Edie In Between comes out in August 2021. Laura teaches creative writing at Arcadia University and at the Highlights Foundation; she also leads creative writing workshops for middle schoolers, teens and adults. When she’s not writing or teaching writing, you can find her running the neighborhood streets or hiking with her dog. She lives in Philadelphia with her family.
