Matt Siegel is a former top-ten university creative writing professor who has written about food and culture for publications including The Atlantic, The Paris Review, The Wall Street Journal, Eater, and Highlights. His adult book, the internationally translated bestseller The Secret History of Food: Strange But True Stories About the Origins of Everything We Eat published with Ecco in 2021.
His debut middle grade book TALES FROM YOUR REFRIGERATOR is forthcoming from Workman in early 2026.
He lives in Richmond, Virginia, with his wife and their dog, Waffles.
