Sarah Mandel was a Licensed Clinical Psychologist based in New York City. She completed her undergraduate studies at Bard College, where she majored in Studio Art. As a child, Sarah sang professionally with the New York City Opera. As a young adult, she discovered her passion for the study of human emotion, cognition, and behavior, and completed the psychology post-baccalaureate program at Columbia University. She earned her Clinical Psychology Doctorate (Psy.D.) at Rutgers University. Sarah lived in Manhattan with her husband and two daughters. She died peacefully on June 1, 2024, weeks shy of her 43rd birthday.
