Shay Kaleoʻoluhoʻiloliokawaipāhe Zykova is a hapa-Hawaiian writer of speculative fiction. Although originally from Waimānalo, Oʻahu, she moved to St. Petersburg, Russia as an English teacher, but quickly realized that winter was overrated. She currently resides in Honolulu with her husband, Denis, and their poi dog, Iris. Her debut novel, IN LANGUAGE THERE IS DEATH, will be published by Saga Press in Spring 2025.
