Stephanie Watson is the author of middle-grade novels Pencilvania (Sourcebooks, 2021), Elvis & Olive and Elvis & Olive: Super Detectives. She is also the author of the picture books: Behold! A Baby (Bloomsbury, 2016 MN Book Award finalist, 2015), The Wee Hours (Hyperion, illustrated by Mary GrandPré, 2013), and Best Friends in the Universe (Scholastic, illustrated by LeUyen Pham, 2018).
A proud product of the Minneapolis Public Schools (Clara Barton Open, South High), Stephanie also attended Sarah Lawrence College in New York. She’s been lucky to receive grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board and the Jerome Foundation. Currently, she lives in Minneapolis, MN.
In addition to writing stories, she also teaches writing workshops for children and adults.
